Saprophyticus

Gr. sapros = putrid, phyton  = plant. L. saprophyticus = growing on dead tissues.

Referring to Staphylococcus saprophyticus, a main cause of community acquired UTI’s (also referred to as ‘honeymoon cystitis’).
